MONTE CIVETTA TOP
Climbing to the top of Monte Civetta (3.220 m.)
Along the equipped ironshod road of Alleghesi. From Coldai Hut you follow the Tivàn path towards the ironshod at 2.500 mt (hours 1.30 from Coldai Hut). The metal cord goes up the base of the western top of "punta Civetta", the uphill path employs several and in the not equipped path the maximum grade is 2°+.
This path is vey exposed and you must have a good training. The total difference in height is 870 mt, while the development covers 1.800 mt. The climbing time is 3.30 hours. The descent is along the normal path, and goes along the Torriani Hut at 2.984 mt, the difficulty degree is from 1° to 2° with a path of 2°+, when you join the scree at the basis of the mountain wall you have to follow the Tivian path that goes back to the Coldai Hut.
