From the hut you can easily join some of the high altitude pastures.
Malga Fiorentina
Descending for 1 km on the road to Selva di Cadore you will find a path that climb to Malga Fiorentina, an old pasture of San Vito people where actually are pastured the cattle not for the production of milk.
Malga Vescovà
Descending for a km on the road to Zoldo Alto starts a white path that goes from Malga Vescovà where you can find both cows that produce milk and goats and you can find cheese products.
You can reach both the pastures in quite 40 minutes walking.
