A fly on Val Fiorentina is wonderful both for the positive air situation and for the wonderful panorama that you can see during all the year. The Valley is an ideal place to practice "Paratrekking", that is to say climbing by foot and descending on air but you can also take off with confortable ski-lifts. Please pay attention on the day weather forecast to avoid to take off with southern winds.

Monte Crot
Take off: Monte Crot
Landing: Passo Staulanza or the great meadow near Baita Flora Alpina.
Fantastic paratrekking that fro Staulanza pass follow the path that oes to the wood that is behind the hut. The path is an ex war track and goes up quietly to thr top of Monte Crot, wonderful view with a 360º panorama. The take off, on a grassy declivity is towards Citta di Fiume Hut and Col de la Puina starting directly from the "forcella", the place that separates the two tops, (time of walk on foot 1,00 hour). Flying on a reasonable altitude you can pass throug the valley arriving to the Mondeval plateau.

Monte Cernera
Take off: M.te Cernera
Landing: Santa Fosca - near Hotel Nigritella.
Wonderful paratrekking, that permets to the pilots to gain the taking off with an exceptional trekking on the northern slope of Monte Cernera. The run on foot starts from the second bend of the street that descends from Passo Giau towards cortina (open space with parking). Take the path to Monte Cernera and follow the path that coasts before the northern slope of Torre d'Urso and then the Monte Cernera. At a certain point the path turns left abd becomes more steep. Passed the rocking step, you began to climb grassy foot and in 20 minutes you are in Forcella Ciazza - places that separates Cernera and Verdal. Here you find the taking off (time on foot 1,20 h). Take off that is easy but a little bit steep, you have to go on by flying straightly till you go out from the passage that divides the two muntains, then you have to turn left to find the wind that brings you the top of Cernera. Once you arrive at the altitude of the top you have only to choose: in the northern part Nuvoulau, Passo Giau, Cortina or Val Badia; in the southern part Fertazza, Civetta, Sasso Bianco, in the eastern one Piz del Corvo, Becco di Mezzodì and Pelmo. A paradise!

Landing: Alleghe - sawmill
You have to take off from 1.300 mt of the country of Coi of Alleghe, to climb to mt the asphlteof Monte Fertazza, then o join the taking off point you have to follow the asphalted road that starts from Alleghe center to Piani di Pezzè: reached Coi, park in the places at the side of the road an with the rucksack on your shoulders cross the Alleghe Coi: when the path come out in the grass meadows over the houses, you have to cross the medow towards west till you arrive at the electric tower in the middle of an inclined meadow: the wind you will find 10 metres lower confirms you that you have joined the taking off place.
