Round routes with starting and arriving at Staulanza Pass
We propose you two round laps among the most interesting ones:
Staulanza - Agordo - Passo Duran
From Staulanza Pass you descend towards Selva di Cadore and from here you a hard climb to Colle Santa Lucia.
You descend again and you arrive at a crossroads with the road that climb to Passo Falzarego, maintaining the left side you arrive to Caprile. You turn again left and arrive to the magnificent village of Alleghe that reflects itself on Alleghe Lake. During this descent don't forget don't forget to be amazed to the view of Monte Civetta. From Alleghe always descending to find the touristic village of Agordo. With a last but great effort you have to climb to Passo Duran and descending (with a descent with gradient 15%) to Dont 78,7 kilometers and difference in height of 1.957 mt.
With a last effort you have to climb to Staulanza Pass, ten kilometres and a difference in height of 800 mt.
Staulanza - Passo Giau - Forcella Cibiana
The second route that we propose you is harder than the fist, there is always the descent from Staulanza pass to selva di Cadore but from here you have to climb the harder Passo Giau.
The panorama along the way and overall the sight from the top, will recompense you on the effort you have done to cross this difficult pass. A speed descent often with lot of traffic drives you to Cortina the famous Dolomiti Queen. you start again to descend following the roadway n.51 - unfortunately with lot of traffic - to Venas di Cadore. Before this last village turning right you have to climb again to Forcella Cibiana.
Do not forget to visit this small village that is situated a little before the half of the climb, it is famous for the modern "murales" inspired to the mountain life. Arriver to the top of the "forcella"a speed descent will conduce you to Staulanza pass, a last effort, for a total of 110,2 km and a difference in height of 3.459 metres.
